2 men sought in home invasion

Police are seeking suspects following an armed home invasion in Vaughan in which the homeowners report being awakened by two men in their bedroom.

The suspects threatened the homeowners, demanded cash and fled with cash and other items, York Regional Police report. Neither of the homeowners was injured in the incident, which took place Saturday, Aug. 11 shortly after 2 a.m. near Major Mackenzie Drive and Hwy. 27. One of the victims reported seeing a handgun.

The first suspect is described as black, 20 to 30 years, and six feet, two inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a green or blue hooded sweater, a beige mask covering his nose and mouth, and beige gloves. The second suspect is described as black, 20 to 30 years, and five feet, five inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater and a beige mask covering his nose and mouth.
