360°kids benefits from local cut-a-thon

On Oct. 20, the fourth annual Cut-A-Thon, at the Stouffville Nissan dealership, supported 360°kids, which delivers programs and support services to at-risk youth in York Region. The organization serves more than 3,000 area youth.

Lisa Ronco, from Salon L, started the event where local hairdressers cut hair for a minimum $20 donation. For those who didn’t want a new hairstyle, there were other opportunities to give through auctions and a bake sale.

Darren Doner, Stouffville Nissan general manager, has supported the cause for the last four years by donating some of his dealership space to turn the showroom into a salon.

“Our team at the dealership enjoys giving back to the community and is happy to see the event’s success continue to grow,” said Doner. “Since its inception, the Cut-A-Thon has raised more than $10,000.”
