Calling all teens—tie up your laces and get ready to race across the town to victory in the annual Amazing Stouffville Race.

On Mar. 16, the popular race returns for another year of fun-filled challenges for youth aged 13-18 years. Inspired by the hit reality television show of the almost same name (minus the Stouffville, of course) teams of two will test their skills to the limit with challenges throughout the different checkpoints in downtown Stouffville. All checkpoints will have clues leading each team to the next activity.

The pair that races back to the Leisure Centre and crosses the finish line first will claim the title of the 2017 Amazing Stouffville Race champions.

Brittany Wong, the event organizer of this year’s race, said participants can expect a variety of unique challenges and even more checkpoints than previous years.

“It’s going to be a fun day where (participants) get to be challenged physically and mentally with different activities throughout the whole day. There will also be prizes,” said Wong.

This year, racers will have the chance to win a pool party, a trip to Laser Quest, gift cards, and more.

In previous years the event was sold out with about 20 teams competing in the race. Last year the event was even hosted by runners-up Matt Giunti and Nick Foti of Amazing Race Canada’s third season.
