Applefest: Celebrating Markham’s 225th anniversary

Get ready for the tastiest event of the year!

The City of Markham is turning 225 and you can help celebrate at Applefest on Saturday, Sept. 28. Applefest, which will be held at Markham Museum, offers several exhibitions, rides and games, live entertainment and family fun activities for all.

“Enjoy all of the regular ‘stars’ of the event – including fresh pressed cider, apple fritters, a fresh apple from the orchard and lots of activities,” says Cathy Molloy, director of Markham Museum. “To make Markham’s 225th extra special, add-ons to the event will include new activities, and like all birthday parties, you will need to wait for the surprise! The event is free for 2019 in honour of Markham 225.”

Applefest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 28th at Markham Museum, located at 9350 Markham Road.
