Armed suspect robs gas station

A suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet and brandishing a handgun robbed a gas station in Richmond Hill and made off with an undisclosed quantity of cash and lottery tickets, York Regional Police report.

On Thursday, June 21 at about 9:25 p.m., police were called to a gas station on Major Mackenzie Drive East at Bayview Avenue for a report of the robbery. The suspect is described as white male who was wearing a black mask, motorcycle helmet and gloves, and armed with a black handgun. He fled the scene, possibly on motorcycle. The gas station employee wasn’t physically injured in the incident.
