Area residents will be in for a treat when Whitchurch-Stouffville Memorial Park will be transformed into a cultural phenomenon.
Everyone is invited to come out Saturday June 11 to an art show and sale, to be held at the summer hotspot.In its second year, the event consists of artists from all over the GTA.
There (are) about 50 artists and will include sculptors, watercolour, oil, acrylic, jewellery, pottery, glass and so on,” said Joan Crosbie, Manager of Culture and Community Services, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. “(There are) tons of great artists and craftspeople in the area. It’s a great chance to promote them in our beautiful park.”
The art will be juried with judges visiting each booth. “First place will be awarded $500, second place $200, third place $300 and (there is) a people’s choice award, which is $300,” Crosbie said.
The event is located at 8 Park Dr. and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
