The first unofficial long weekend of summer is almost here and you’re invited to celebrate Victoria Day at the annual fireworks display at the Ballantrae Community Centre on Sunday, May 20 from 8 to 10 p.m.
The event, hosted by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, will feature activities for the entire family, including balloon twisting and crafting with the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum, food from Vince’s BBQ, Mister Treats and Cracklin’ Kettle Corn, and entertainment by Most Excellent Productions. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
For the first time, Stouffville residents can hop on a free bus from the Stouffville Arena at 12483 Ninth Line to the community centre at 5592 Aurora Sideroad. Buses depart at 8, 8:15, 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. from the arena parking lot. Seating is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Buses will return to Stouffville at 10 and 10:30 p.m.
