
The Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce handed out its annual business awards recently at the Royal Canadian Legion. The 12th annual affair celebrates local small, medium, large and non-profit businesses that have distinguished themselves above the rest.
The closely scrutinized process sees industry experts individually score businesses from within the Chamber’s ranks. Each judges’ decision in not shared with the others, so almost no one knew who would receive the coveted hardware until the actual night of the awards. Political representatives form federal, provincial and municipal governments all lauded the winning firms.
The 2017 winners were:
Best New Business – Vargas Family Roofing
Best Large Business – Bloomington Cove
Best Small Business – Stouffville Academy of Music and Dance
Best Not-for-profit – Christian Blind Mission
