Cool music for a hot summer

What’s better than enjoying a summer evening with a cold beverage and good people on the patio?  Try adding some top-notch music to make the evening guaranteed summer perfection.

Then the Summer Patio Series, presented by 19 on the Park, should hit the right note. Now in its fourth year, the shows have become a summer staple for residents and those looking to get away for an evening. The open-air concerts are presented at Civic Square, right in front of 19 on the Park, on the Main Street of Stouffville.

On July 14, the first of the three-show series features Benjamin Dakota Rogers, a singer-songwriter who has more than one tale to tell. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, he seamlessly switches from fiddle to guitar to banjo and sometimes throws some harmonica into the mix when he isn’t storytelling through his amazing vocals.

On July 28 catch Chad Price, a velvety-voiced singer-songwriter who was recently one of the artists on CTV’s show The Launch. Price’s soul-stirring songwriting will mesmerize you. His honest lyrics are wrapped up in a folk, soul, blues, R&B sound that is his own unique concoction.

On August 18, the Summer Patio Series closes out with crowd favourite, the Johnny Max Band, a lively blues/soul group performing some first-rate music. With four albums and multiple Maple Blues and Juno award nominations, you can be sure they do it right.

A special “buy two shows and get the third free” deal is on until June 15. For tickets, call the box office at 905-640-2322.  Visit at for details.
