Luxury car stolen after online ‘for sale’ post

A 32-year-old Vaughan man was pistol whipped and his luxury car stolen after a man answered an online ad listing it for sale.

Two men showed up at the victim’s home near Major Mackenzie Drive West and McNaughton Road East on Friday, Oct. 4, shortly before 8 p.m., to check out the white 2015 BMW M3, York Regional Police report.

One of the suspects pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and struck him with it before stealing his keys. Both suspects fled with the stolen vehicle and the vehicle they had arrived in. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for a minor injury.

The first suspect is described as black; five feet, eight inches tall with a slim build. He’s about 25 to 30 years old, had a scruffy short beard, and was wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants. There’s no description for the second suspect.
