Man charged, second sought in Vaughan robbery

A 35-year-old Brampton man faces numerous charges and a second suspect is sought following a robbery at a carpet store in Vaughan last month.

The owner of a carpet store on Yonge Street south of Hwy. 407 reported two men entered his store on Saturday, Oct. 6 around 11 a.m. and demanded money, York Regional Police report. The suspects searched the store and found the victim’s wallet. They assaulted the victim and made off in a black, four-door Volvo south on Yonge at a high rate of speed.

One of the suspects was arrested and a replica firearm was seized after a search warrant was executed at a Brampton home on October 23. Landi Hanna was charged with robbery, disguise with intent, weapons possession for dangerous purpose, fail to comply with probation order, and two counts of firearm/weapon possession contrary to prohibition order.

The second suspect, pictured here, is described as black, 30+ years old, five feet, eleven inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black shirt and black pants, and spoke English with no accent.
