Police identify man killed in shooting

Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in Vaughan early Saturday morning and continue to look for suspects. They’re also appealing to witnesses to come forward.

Kevin Prempeh, 26, of Toronto, was found dead in a home on Timber Creek Road near Major Mackenzie Drive West and Hwy. 27 on May 12 at about 3:35 a.m., York Regional Police report. A second victim, a 21-year-old Brampton man, was later found in hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police arrested one man found fleeing the scene and are investigating his involvement in the incident. They have been interviewing witnesses and would like to speak with any additional witnesses who may have seen or heard anything in the area leading up to or following the shooting.

Investigators are also asking any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance or any drivers who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
