Police release video footage in home invasion

The search continues for four men who made off with cash and jewellery in a violent home invasion in Vaughan in which a 26-year-old man was pistol whipped, knocked unconscious and bound with zip ties.

York Regional Police have released surveillance video captured in the home invasion, which took place on Colombo Crescent on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The unknown suspects, all wearing masks, forced their way into the home through a garage door shortly before 3 a.m. They went upstairs, where the six occupants of the home were asleep. After pistol whipping a man who confronted them, they bound the five other occupants, who complied with their demands for cash and jewellery.

The suspects made off in separate vehicles. The man who was pistol whipped was taken to hospital with non life-threatening physical injuries at the time of the incident. Video of the home invasion and the suspect vehicles can be viewed at https://youtu.be/dsOgtELdgVQ.
