Police seek witnesses to armed bank robbery

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was brandishing a shotgun in a bank robbery in Richmond Hill.

York Regional Police responded to a report of a bank robbery on Thursday, May 3 at about 7:30 p.m. A lone man entered a bank near Hwy. 7 and West Beaver Creek Road with a shotgun. He fled eastbound on foot with a quantity of cash. No one was physically injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as six-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing light-coloured jeans, green winter jacket, sneakers, white gloves and a black face mask.
