Police seek witnesses to fatal collision in Vaughan

A 50-year-old Vaughan man was killed in two-vehicle collision in Vaughan that sent a second driver to hospital with minor injuries.

On Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:40 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Rutherford Road just west of Peter Rupert Way. They found a white Mazda hatchback in a ditch.

Investigators believe the white Mazda was westbound on Rutherford Road and was hit by a brown Buick Enclave going east. The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Buick, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
