April Wine, Coney Hatch, Triumph, Styx, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden– is there a legendary rock band that Carl Dixon hasn’t played with? The Guess Who lead singer of eight years is stepping out on a solo career, and he’s bringing it to the stage at 19 on the Park in Stouffville on June 2.
In a show he’s loosely calling a ‘Storyteller Night’, Dixon will be featuring the familiar songs from the rock legends he has toured with paired with a selection of original pieces from his latest album. Dixon’s distinctive voice and stage presence delivers these classic songs in what is sure to be an unforgettable, show in this intimate venue.
“How exciting will it be to get up close and personal with such a legend?” says Ashley Chappell, the Cultural Facility Supervisor for 19 on the Park. “You’ll have a chance to meet him, shake his hand, and thank him for the epic rock songs he’s played over the years.”
