Toronto-based multi-media artist Jason Baerg will share his colour-driven abstract paintings and installation works as part of ᓭᓭᓯᐤ / Sêsêsiw / Yellow Legs, a solo exhibition opening on October 17 at 7 p.m. at the Latcham Art Centre.
As a Cree Métis artist and educator whose practice is informed by numerous Indigenous perspectives, these shaped and laser-cut canvases respond to his ancestral homelands in Saskatchewan.
This solo exhibition is part of Latcham Art Centre’s ongoing commitment to provide a venue to showcase artwork by Indigenous artists.
Baerg’s remarks will begin October 17 at 7:30pm. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.
