The Stouffville community came out in force again to support the Terry Fox Run and solidify its reputation as one of the countries leading Terry Fox Runs, raising much more than communities five time its size. Hundreds came out on the beautiful, but hot Sunday afternoon to bike, blade, walk and run loops of 2k, 5k, or, for the ambitious 10k
No times were kept, no awards given. the only ones who win are those suffering from cancer. And there was a number of them too, survivors and fighters, notable in their red shirts provided ample inspiration for participants to push a little harder on a special day for cancer fundraising. With many participants – individuals and teams alike – sporting signs and shirts in support, or in memory of a person close to their hearts that had been stricken, there was many poignant and personal moments as the event got underway.
