Vaughan arson suspects sought

Investigators with York Regional Police have released video surveillance
obtained following an arson and are seeking public assistance to identify the suspects.

On January 3, police responded to a beauty salon call in the area of Bathurst Street
and Rutherford Road in the City of Vaughan for reports of a fire.

Vaughan Fire and Rescue Services attended and put out the fire. The Office of the Ontario Fire
Marshall was notified and the fire was determined to have been intentionally set.

Investigators obtained surveillance video of the incident and are appealing to the community for
assistance in identifying the suspects.

One suspect was wearing dark clothing and carrying a gas can. The suspect vehicle was a red, mid-sized vehicle with one headlight out which was being driven by a second suspect.
