Witnesses sought after serious collision

York Regional Police investigators are seeking witnesses following a serious collision near Highway 7 and Jane Street.

On Jan. 13, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision with several people injured. A Dodge Caravan with seven occupants was travelling west on Highway 7, while a Subaru Crosstek was travelling north on Jane Street.

A passenger in the Dodge Caravan, a 78-year-old man from Vaughan, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. All other occupants of the van and the driver of the Subaru, all received
minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
