Witnesses Sought Following Fatal Collision In Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, shortly after 10:30 a.m., police were called to a collision on Zenway Boulevard in the area of Huntington Road for a report of a two-vehicle collision. When police arrived they located a transport truck that had collided with a Pontiac. The 51-year-old driver of the Pontiac had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, to please come forward.
