Witnesses sought in shooting at Vaughan party

Police have released surveillance video and images of a shooting and two suspect vehicles connected to a party at a short-term rental property in Vaughan that left two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Multiple shots were fired in front of a residence on Petticoat Road near Major Mackenzie Drive West and McNaughton Road East and in the backyard on Sunday, Sept. 22 around 2:30 a.m., York Regional Police report.

Investigators found more than 20 shell casings but no suspects or victims. They learned two men, ages 24 and 22 years, were receiving treatment in hospital for gunshot wounds.

The video shows a white four-door car travelling on Petticoat Road with shots being fired. Additional gunshots can then be heard coming from the rear of the home. The video also shows two suspects, armed with handguns, approaching the back of the home from Lealinds Road. Finally, two suspect vehicles are seen travelling on Lealinds Road: the white four-door sedan and a black four-door sedan.
