Woman sexually assaulted while mowing lawn

Police are looking for a suspect after an Aurora woman reported being sexually assaulted while mowing her front lawn.

The 47-year-old woman says a man ran up behind her, lowered his shorts and grabbed her, pulling her towards him, York Regional Police report. The woman turned and confronted the suspect, who fled on foot.

The incident took place Saturday, Aug. 11 at about 3:30 p.m. at a home on Stone Road near Bayview Avenue and Wellington Road in Vaughan. Police have released images of the suspect, who is described as white, with a medium build and short, sandy-brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
