York Region opens new paramedic response stations in the Town of Newmarket

The Regional Municipality of York opened two new paramedic response stations in the Town of Newmarket on October 16 to better serve the growing community. The stations are located at 135 Aspenwood Drive and 445 Harry Walker Parkway South.

The new stations have been built in areas that have seen an increase in population and will enable Paramedic Services to continue to support community health, safety and well-being.

Members of the media were invited to tour the Aspenwood station and vehicles and to learn more about York Region’s commitment to strong, caring, safe communities.

York Region’s team of over 500 paramedics provide emergency response and community care to residents and visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. In 2018, York Region Paramedics responded to over 83,000 calls. Visit york.ca/paramedics for more information or follow York Region Paramedics on Twitter @yorkparamedics
